SDU Chelsea competes in the DASC Ohayon Invitational and came away from the weekend in Sioux Falls with a mixed bag of results. The 1st game saw the Chelsea boys battle to a 1-1 draw with the Rush Wisconsin team in what was an excellent display of great soccer by both teams. The 2nd game was a back and forth battle with the South Sioux City Diablos that saw the Chelsea boys go down by two goals only to battle back and make it even before halftime. In the 2nd half the teams traded a goal each before SSC Diablos got the benefit a some very poor referee work in which the ref gave a PK while being more than 50 yards behind the play. The result of this play and some other questionable calls left the Chelsea boys on the short end of the score card losing a 4-3 match. The final match was the Chelsea boys vs Norfolk NE in which the Chelsea boys dominated the game from beginning to end. It was a great way for the boys to end the tourney and help to get ready for their next event in Denver, CO at the Real Colorado Cup. Great weekend to Coach Dana and the boys and good luck in Colorado!
